Ernest Waaser

Directeur Général

Ernest Waaser a été nommé Président Directeur Général et membre du Board des Directeurs de Systagenix Wound Management en Juin 2011. Avant de rejoindre Systagenix, il a été Président de Teleflex Medical, société de 1,5 $ milliard, fournisseur de dispositifs médicaux en anesthésiologie, urologie, vasculaire et en chirurgie.

Dans une précédente responsabilité, M. Waaser a aussi été Président Directeur Général de Hill-Rom, société spécialisée dans les lits médicalisés, la prévention des plaies et problèmes pulmonaires. Il a également passé plus de 10 ans dans l’industrie de l’imagerie médicale, notamment en tant que Directeur d’Exploitation de Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, société revendue par  DuPont à un fond d’investissement.

M. Waaser est titulaire d’une licence d’ingénierie nucléaire de l’Université de l’Etat du Mississipi et d’un master d’ingénierie mécanique de l’Université de Caroline du Sud.

Christopher M.Fashek

Christopher Fashek possède une vaste expérience dans le domaine des soins des plaies, il a notamment été Président Directeur Général et Vice-Président de Kinetic Concepts Inc (KCI) Etats-Unis de 1995 à 2007. Au cours de son mandat, il a notamment dirigé avec brio l'introduction aux Etats-Unis et la croissance importante du V.A.C™, un traitement des plaies par pression négative.
Avant de rejoindre KCI en 1995, il avait été Directeur Général Nouvelle-Zélande chez Sterling Winthrop et Vice-Président des Ventes chez Sterling Winthrop Etats-Unis, ancienne division d'Eastman Kodak. Il a travaillé avec un certain nombre de startups dans le monde du soin des plaies, siégé au conseil d'administration de plusieurs sociétés de santé et fondations caritatives, et a fait des conférences dans de nombreux congrès de médecine.
M. Fashek est titulaire d'un BA en Histoire de l'Upsala College, East Orange, New Jersey (Etats-Unis), et d'un MBA de l'Université Fairleigh Dickinson, East Rutherford, New Jersey (Etats-Unis).

Brad Coppens

Gordie Nye

Gordie Nye est actuellement Directeur Général du Group Outcome, LLC, et PDG de Zeltiq Aesthetics. Il a auparavant été PDG de REVA Medical ainsi que Président Directeur Général de deux anciennes divisions de Johnson & Johnson – "A" Company Orthodontics et Critikon après leur acquisition dans le cadre d'opérations de rachat par les cadres. Au cours de son mandat, il a dirigé la refonte complète de la gamme de produits avant leur vente finale respectivement à Sybron International (qui fait aujourd'hui partie de Danaher) et à GE Medical Systems.
En 2003, M. Nye a rejoint Prism VentureWorks en tant que partenaire général dans son équipe d'investissement en sciences de la vie, dans laquelle il a axé son activité sur les dispositifs médicaux. Au cours de cette période, il a siégé aux conseils d'administration de plusieurs sociétés de portefeuilles de Prism. Il a également passé près de 15 ans dans l'activité de biens de consommation courante et loisirs, à divers postes de marketing, ventes et direction générale, pour des sociétés telles que Gillette, Olin Ski Company, Reebok et L.A. Gear.

Bob Stockman

Bob Stockman est actuellement président du conseil d'administration de REVA Medical, une société de dispositifs médicaux qui développe un nouveau stent résorbable à élution de médicament. Il est également président et fondateur de Group Outcome LLC, une banque d'affaires basée aux Etats-Unis qui investit son capital et celui de ses partenaires financiers dans des investissements en fonds propres et en capital-risque dans des sociétés de technologies médicales.
M. Stockman a également cofondé CentriMed et apporté le financement de départ. CentriMed est aujourd'hui devenu le Global HealthCare Exchange, la principale plate-forme d'échange électronique au monde pour les fournitures hospitalières. M. Stockman et ses partenaires ont été les fondateurs et les PDG de plus de 16 sociétés de produits médicaux florissantes.
Avant de fonder le Group Outcome LLC, il a passé 18 ans chez Johnston Associates et Narragansett Capital Corporation, où son activité était axée sur les transactions en matière de soins de santé. M. Stockman siège également au conseil d'administration d'un certain nombre d'autres sociétés de soins de santé. Jack Wilkens

Jack Wilkens est le Président Directeur Général de RevDia Corporation situé à Miami. RevDia est spécialisé dans les tests de diagnostics rapides pour les problèmes infectieux et vient de lancer un test pour les pathologies parodontales. Avant RevDia, Jack a été Directeur des Opérations chez Inverness Medical Innovations (maintenant Alere-ALR-NYSE). IMI est le leader mondial des sociétés de test de diagnostic rapide avec plus de 1 ,9 milliard de chiffres d’affaires et le leader dans les diagnostics pour la santé des femmes. Préalablement à cette fonction de COO, M. Wilkens a été Directeur Général de Unipath, filiale de IMI, Inc. localisé à Bedford en Angleterre. Pendant cette période il a été responsable de la gamme des diagnostics pour la santé des femmes et a supervisé le lancement du test de grossesse digital IMI, le premier test diagnostic digital proposé aux patients au monde. Il a été Directeur Général des opérations diabète d’IMI et Johnson & Johnson chez Inverness, Ecosse et responsable Européen des ventes pour IMI. L’Ecosse a développé, fabriqué et lancé le premier moniteur de glucose au monde. Jack fut VP de Medical Imaging Systems chez Sterling Diagnostics/AGFA, responsable des systèmes à Rayons X et du lancement de plateformes d’imagerie digitale. Il a également travaillé pendant de nombreuses années chez Polaroid Corporation dans la fabrication, le développement et le marketing de produits dans l’imagerie digitale médicale. Il était responsable de la conception et des opérations pour les équipements d’imagerie médicale Polaroid, la fabrication des films négatifs Polaroid et a été impliqué dans la conception, le développement et le marketing de nombreux systèmes d’imagerie. M. Wilkens possède un BS d’ingénierie chimique de l’Université de l’Etat du Michigan et un MBA du Western New England College.

Oern R. Stuge est le fondateur d’ORSCO Life Sciences AG, et il occupe plusieurs fonctions exécutives et non-exécutives dans différents boards de direction ou de conseils, parmi lesquels  Mediq NV, Nobel Biocare AG, Impulse Dynamics NV, Bonesupport AB, Quentiq AG, Aleva SA, HealthCap AB.
Il a rejoint le Board des Directeurs de Systagenix en octobre 2011. Le Dr Stuge a travaillé au préalable pendant 12 ans chez Medtronic Inc., à différents postes dont Vice Président Sénior et Président de la Chirurgie Cardiaque, Président EMEA, Amérique Latine, Canada et Inde, membre du Comité Exécutif et du Comité Opérationnel. Préalablement il avait travaillé 6 ans pour les Laboratoires Abbott, 7 ans pour une start up Norvégienne, notamment en tant que CEO, et il a exercé 6 ans comme médecin. Rob Snyder

Dr. Robert Snyder has been a podiatrist for 30 years; for the past 12 years, he has dedicated his practice to wound management and limb salvage. Dr. Snyder is a diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Additionally, he holds diplomat status in the American Academy of Wound Management, is a Certified Wound Specialist, and serves on the board of directors of that organization. He also serves on the board of directors of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care.

He is currently completing a graduate degree in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair from Cardiff University, Wales College of Medicine, UK. Dr. Snyder has also been appointed Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Snyder serves as Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at University Hospital, Tamarac, Florida and was Medical Director of the Wound Healing Center at Northwest Medical Center, Margate, Florida. Dr. Snyder also serves as Medical Director of Systagenix Wound Management.

Dr. Snyder lectures extensively throughout the United States and abroad, and has published several book chapters and more than 75 articles in peer reviewed and trade journals. He serves on the editorial advisory boards of Ostomy Wound Management and Podiatry Management, and has recently been appointed as a reviewer for the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Snyder performs research concerning many innovative wound healing modalities and products. He was honored with the DuoDerm Research Scholarship in 1999 and studied at the Wound Healing Summer School at Oxford University, UK.

Dr. Snyder was recently designated a "Heavy Hitter in Medical Specialty Care" by the South Florida Business Journal. In October 2006, Podiatry Management acknowledged Dr. Snyder as one of "America's 175 Most Influential Podiatrists".

David G. Armstrong

DPM, PhD: Professor of Surgery (with Tenure), University of Arizona; co-founded the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance; founder and co-chair of the International Diabetic Food Conference

Dr. Armstrong is Professor of Surgery (with Tenure) at The University of Arizona. Dr. Armstrong also holds a Masters of Science in Tissue Repair and Wound Healing from the University of Wales College of Medicine and a PhD from the University of Manchester College of Medicine, where he was appointed Visiting Professor of Medicine. He also co-founded the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA).

Dr. Armstrong has produced more than 270 peer-reviewed research papers in more than two dozen scholarly medical journals as well as over two dozen book chapters and is co-Editor of the American Diabetes Association's (ADA) Clinical Care of the Diabetic Foot.

Dr. Armstrong was selected as one of the first six International Wound Care Ambassadors and is the recipient of numerous awards by national and international medical organizations including the inaugural Georgetown Distinguished Award for Diabetic Limb Salvage. In 2008, he was the 25th and youngest-ever member elected into the Podiatric Medicine Hall of Fame.

Dr. Armstrong is past Chair of Scientific Sessions for the ADA's Foot Care Council, and a past member of the National Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association as well as a former commissioner with the Illinois State Diabetes Commission. He sits on the Infectious Disease Society of America's Diabetic Foot Infection Advisory Committee. Dr. Armstrong is the founder and co-chair of the International Diabetic Foot Conference (OF-Con), the largest annual international symposium on the diabetic foot in the world.

Laura’s involvement in wound healing began in 1974 as a scientist for Johnson & Johnson conducting research on moist wound healing, growth factors, antimicrobials and electrical stimulation, with a dual role as biologist and educator starting in 1981 at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Department of Surgery, Bioengineering Section where she now serves as Adjunct Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery.

In 1987 Laura joined ConvaTec to lead the team that developed the DuoDERM CGF family of dressings using an evidence-based product development approach. In addition to evaluating new technologies and organizing wound care symposia on wound infection and cost effective wound care she has given more than 60 continuing education and Grand Rounds lectures at symposia, medical facilities and universities throughout North and South America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East and published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed wound journals.

As a member of the Editorial Boards of Wound Repair and Regeneration, Ostomy/Wound Management Advances in Skin and Wound Care (Distinguished Reviewer Award, 2004) and WOUNDS (Guest Editor for the May 1994 and November 2007 issues addressing Outcomes in Wound Management and author of the bimonthly "Evidence Corner") Laura mentors current and future wound care clinicians and scientists.

In 2001, Laura was honored with the Sharon Baranoski Founder's Award at the 16th Annual Clinical Symposium for Advances in Skin Care and Wound Care for a career of mentoring and educating colleagues in wound care. The Journal of Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses, where Laura has contributed several "Evidence-based Report Cards", awarded her coauthors and herself the Nursing 2005 Manuscript Award for our 2004 article "Wound Healing Outcomes Using Standardized Care."

In January, 2006, Laura retired as ConvaTec's Global Director of Scientific Affairs.

Currently Laura co-chairs the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care Guideline Department and serves on the Guideline Steering Committee for the World Health Organization Global Initiative on Wound and Lymphoedema Management.

Laura is a member of the Boards of Directors for the Wound Healing Society and C3: Continuum of Care Coalition and is Chief Scientific Advisor for Derma Sciences. Her consulting company, BoltonSCI, LLC, exists to encourage evidence-based wound and ostomy care practices, product development and marketing.

Dr. Moore is a registered nurse, from Dublin, Ireland, and has just completed her PhD studies' exploring repositioning for the prevention of pressure ulcers; this 3 year research programme was funded by a Clinical Research Fellowship from the Health Research Board of Ireland. Before undertaking her PhD, Dr. Moore was a lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, where she coordinated the Post Graduate Diploma/MSc in Wound Management & Tissue Viability programme. Previous to taking up the post as a lecturer, Dr. Moore worked in the area of wound management and tissue viability for 11 years.

Dr. Moore received a post graduate diploma, with distinction, in wound healing & tissue repair from the University Of Wales College Of Medicine in 1998 and an MSc in wound healing & tissue repair in 2001 from the same university. In 2002 she received a Fellowship of the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery, RCS.

Dr. Moore is actively involved in research in wound management and has undertaken a number of systematic reviews with the Cochrane wounds group and the Cochrane renal group. Furthermore, Dr. Moore has published over 55 articles and book chapters and has researched in many aspects of wound management which have been presented at local, national and international meetings.

Dr. Moore is a member of the Health Service Executive of Ireland's National Wound Management Guideline Development group and was also a member of the 2009 European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel/National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel pressure ulcer prevention and management guideline development group.

Dr. Moore is president of the European Wound Management Association, where she also chairs the education committee.

Dr. Moore is a member of the World Health Organisation's Global Initiative in Wound and Lymphoedema Care and a member of EUCOMED advanced wound care sector.

Prof. Marco Romanelli

MD, PhD: Consultant Dermatologist, Department of Dermatology, University of Pisa, Italy; Director Wound Healing Research Unit, University of Pisa; leads a research group actively involved in clinical, laboratory and educational activities

Dr. Marco Romanelli is a Board certified, Consultant Dermatologist at the Department of Dermatology, University of Pisa and received a PhD in Experimental Dermatology from the University of Naples. He is currently director of the Wound Healing Research Unit within the University of Pisa in Italy and leads a research group actively involved in clinical, laboratory and educational activities.

He is founding member and Past-President and board member of the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP). He is currently Immediate Past President and Council member of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA), Executive Board member of the World Union Wound Healing Society (WUWHS). He is also Past President of the Italian Association for Cutaneous Ulcer (AIUC).

He has a special interest in wound assessment using physical measurements, inflammatory ulcers, biochemical markers in wound healing and has published widely in this field, in which he continues to undertake research.

Dr. Romanelli is on the editorial board of the journals WOUNDS, Wound Repair and Regeneration, The International Journal of Lower Extremity Wounds, Journal of Wound Care, International Wound Journal, Acta Vulnologica & Journal of Tissue Viability Nurses Society.

Dr. Thomas E. Serena

MD, FACS, FACHM, FAPWCA: Founder & Medical Director of Pennsylvania North Centers for Advanced Wound Care, USA; founder of the NewBridge Medical Research Corporation and emeritus member of the Board of Director of the Wound Healing Society

He completed his residency in Surgery at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with fellowship training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Southern Illinois University. He is a professor at Gannon University in Erie Pennsylvania where he has established a state-of-the-art research program including development of a novel acute wound-healing model.

To date he has opened and operates fourteen wound care centers from New York City to Tulsa Oklahoma. Dr. Serena has been the lead or Principal investigator in over 50 clinical trials, including testing blood platelets, antimicrobial dressings, growth factors, topical and parenteral antibiotics and bi-Iayered cell therapy. As a result of the overwhelming demand for his services as a researcher, he founded the NewBridge Medical Research Corporation, a non-profit corporation (501(c) 3) dedicated to advancing the science of wound healing.

He is recognized internationally as an expert in the field of wound healing: He has nearly 100 published papers and has given more than 200 invited lectures throughout the world. He consults for numerous wound care industrial partners in the development of new products for the wound care space. He is an emeritus member of the Board of Directors of the Wound Healing Society and recently was an author on four of the national guidelines for the treatment of chronic wounds. More recently he was elected Vice President of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine. He is also on the board of directors of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care.

R. Gary Sibbald

Dr. Sibbald is a dermatologist and internist with a special interest in wound care and education. He is a professor of public health sciences and medicine at the University of Toronto. As a wound care educator, clinician and clinical researcher he is an international wound care key opinion leader.

Dr. Sibbald is the co-founder (1999) and course director of the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC). He is the director of the Masters of Science in Community Health (Prevention and Wound Care) at the Della Lama School of Public Health at University of Toronto.

Dr. Sibbald is the president of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies 2008-12.
He is a co-editor and chapter author of the Chronic Wound Care textbook with the 5th edition due in 2010. He has over 200 publications.

Dot Weir

RN, CWON, CWS: Director of Wound Care for Osceola Regional Medical Center, Florida, USA; held posts of Treasurer & President of Association for Advancement of Wound Care

Dot is a registered nurse, received her wound certifications from the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Certification Board, and the American Academy of Wound Management, and has been practicing wound care since 1980. She has worked in acute care, long term and home care, and for the past 8 years has practiced in outpatient care. She is currently the Director of Wound Care for Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Florida.

Dot was a founding member and has held the office of Treasurer and President of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (MWC), and is also a member of the Wound Healing Society (WHS), the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) and the Florida Association of Enterostomal Therapists (FAET). She is the Co-Chair of the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care, is co-editor of the journal Today's Wound Clinic, is on the faculty of the Wound Certification Prep Course, and is a consultant and speaker for several manufacturers. She has authored and co-authored multiple book chapters and articles on various aspects of wound care.

Ernest Waaser was named Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Systagenix Wound Management in June 2011.

Prior to joining Systagenix, he was President of Teleflex Medical, a $1.5 billion global supplier of single use disposable products for vascular access, respiratory, urology, anesthesia and surgical applications.  Prior to Teleflex, Mr. Waaser served as President & CEO of Hill-Rom, a global supplier of hospital beds and therapeutic products for wound and pulmonary care.  He also spent over ten years in the medical imaging industry, during which he served as Chief Operating Officer of Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, a successful private equity backed spinout from DuPont.

Mr. Waaser holds a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Carolina.

David Milner

Mr. Milner joined Systagenix in 2008. Mr. Milner’s career in Finance and Operations spans over 25 years. Prior to joining Systagenix, Mr. Milner held executive positions in several private equity-sponsored companies, including Critikon, “A” Company Orthodontics, Environmental Lighting Concepts, Voit Sports and BioSafety.  Mr. Milner has a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Paolo Di Vincenzo

Vice President Global Marketing

Prior to joining Systagenix Paolo Di Vincenzo was European Marketing Director for Becton Dickinson (BD) Diagnostics, world leader for the safe collection and transport of diagnostics specimens, as well as instruments and reagent systems to accurately detect a broad range of infectious diseases, healthcare-associated infections and cancers.  Prior to joining BD in 2008, Mr Di Vincenzo was Country Manager for Roche Diagnostics, Diabetes Care, Portugal and CRM Lead for Iberia and Latin America, following a number of domestic and international senior roles in Marketing, Business Development, and Finance between the UK, Switzerland, Germany, US, and Singapore between 2001 and 2008, which saw him successfully leading global re-branding and new product launches.

Mr Di Vincenzo is a graduate of University of Brighton, UK and Politecnico di Torino, Italy.

Helen Trevor

Helen Trevor is the Vice President, Human Resources for Systagenix Wound Management. With over 20 years experience in Human Resources in a variety of positions including unionised manufacturing environments and global support services.  Helen joined Systagenix after working for CR Bard in the UK.  She has a degree in Biology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management.

Bill Pigg

Bill Pigg, Vice President of Product Development and Quality, has responsibility for Research and Development, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance. A joint honours graduate in Materials Science and Economics with a PhD in Composite Materials, Bill also holds a post-graduate diploma in Medical Device Innovation Management from the Scandinavian International Management Institute (SIMI) in Copenhagen. Bill has some 20 years experience in medical device Research and Development with companies such as Smith and Nephew, Johnson and Johnson and Systagenix, working on such diverse areas such as Surgical Gown and Drape, Surgical Gloves, Fracture Fixation and, for the majority of his career, Wound Management. Bill has worked in a variety of business environments from Research Association and Corporate Research Centre to near to market development groups and holds several patents.

Craig Kennedy

Vice-Président Business Développement

Craig Kennedy, Vice-Président Business Développement a rejoint Systagenix en avril 2009. Craig a occupé des postes à responsabilités au niveau Opérations, Marketing et Business Développement dans diverses sociétés, dont GE, GE Healthcare, Johnson et Johnson, Datascope et les Laboratoires Greer. Craig a géré ou participé au redressement de sociétés, à des acquisitions ou des intégrations dans des domaines très variés. Craig a obtenu un BS en Administration des Affaires de l'Université de Central Florida et un MBA de l'Université de Floride.

Simon Jackson

Vice President Europe

Simon a rejoint Systagenix en mars 2009 en tant que Vice Président Healthcare Corporate et a été nommé Vice Président Europe en Février 2011.
Avant de rejoindre Systagenix, Simon a occupé des postes Healthcarte Corporate et  Directeur National Ventes et Marketing chez CR Bard au Royaume-Uni.
Auparavant, Simon avait été Manager Ventes et Marketing chez GE Healthcare et avait occupé des postes de ventes chez Critikon et Johnson & Johnson Médical.
Simon est titulaire d’un diplôme en Ingénierie Mécanique de l’Université de Newcastle upon Tyne et d’une Maîtrise en Ingénierie Biomédicale de l’Université de Surrey.

Jon Warrick

Vice Président, Marchés Internationaux

Jon a rejoint Systagenix, au poste de Vice Président Global Marketing en 2008, et occupe ses fonctions actuelles depuis Février 2010, avec la responsabilité des ventes internationales en dehors des Etats-Unis et de l’Europe de l’Ouest. Durant ses 15 ans d’expérience dans le traitement de la plaie, chez Johnson & Johnson et Systagenix, Jon a occupé de nombreux postes en Recherche & Développement, New Business Développement, Marketing et Ventes Internationales. Il a été basé aux Etats-Unis, en France et en Grande-Bretagne. Jon possède un BSc (Hons) en Sciences Biomédicales de l’Université de Bradford et un MBA de l’Université de Leeds.

Joel Pickering

Directeur Général des États-Unis

M. Pickering a rejoint Systagenix en 2009 en tant que Directeur Marketing pour les États-Unis, et occupe les fonctions de Directeur Général depuis mai 2010. Joel apporte à Systagenix, sa riche expérience du traitement des plaies, acquise  depuis 1996 dans des entreprises telles que J & J Médical, Centeon, Lifecell et Convatec où il fut Group Product Manager. Avant de rejoindre Systagenix, Joel a occupé plusieurs postes chez KCI dont celui de Directeur Marketing. Au cours de sa carrière dans le traitement des plaies, Joel a lancé avec succès plusieurs nouveaux produits et a favorisé la croissance de nombreuses marques bien établies
